A bit about the project
Praktik Phase 1
Praktik is an interactive, rich media digital learning tool created for online use by college students in Nursing and Health Sciences programs.
Fanshawe is a comprehensive community college serving the greater London region by providing flexible learning arrangements and experiential education opportunities developed in response to labour market needs.
In collaboration with the School of Nursing, the Reactr team designed, developed and evaluated a Web framework for digital content, and an initial simulation module for measurement of vital signs. The module topics are maximally relevant to a broad range of students in health sciences programs.
01 Interactive anatomical models
Media activities where visuals, audio and interaction combine to deliver key content.
02 Quizzes and tests
Allowing students to access content at any time, and to self-paced assessment.
"I felt the work I was doing was more valuable than just doing course work, and I felt that in addition to the work itself I was getting other valuable experience like presenting to clients that is not necessarily included in course work."
